Our Story<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Nireas opened in June 2015 and stays open all year, with activities varying with the seasons. Summertime our main focus is on the sea, with scuba diving and snorkeling as our core activities. All through the year we of course also offer our clients half \u2013 full day trekking tours. Wintertime we extend our selection of trekking trails and offer winter visitors weekly trekking programs. We put larger focus on rappel trainings and organize weekend canyoning excursions to the east side of Crete.
Our mission is to keep both locals and visitors active by offering a variety of fun and memorable outdoor activities for all
levels of fitness. As passionate nature enthusiasts we are hoping our work will help to increase interest and awareness of
nature, and to aid to its preservation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Small groups, with safe and personal service, in a fun and friendly environment is key for us. All of our tours offer free hotel transfers and include all sports equipment. All of our trekking tours include our private rescuing service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The team behind<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We are Kostas and Eva and live all year round in Crete. Kostas was born and raised in Chania. He is a diving instructor and canyoning initiateur. Before Nireas, he has worked as a professional lifeguard and collaborated with various outdoor rescuing teams. He has for several years played an active role as a Red Cross volunteer, teaching First Aid to civilians. For more than one and a half decade he\u2019s been practicing and teaching boxing and Thai boxing. He also teaches and practices
many other sports. Eva has previously lived in Sweden and England, working as a bar manager, consultant and trainer. She has two dogs, is a dedicated all year swimmer and enthusiastic trekker. Other interests include nature, gardening, literature, art and travel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
